Hands & Feet: Volunteer Opportunities

Share-A-Toy Volunteer

Description

Clean and repair toys; dress dolls; sort toys into age level; help distribute toys for Christmas.

Skills

A wide variety of skills is useful.  Many toys must be washed and dried.  Some may be assembled from parts of several broken items.  Judging (or learning to judge) which toys fit with which age level is necessary.  Toy distribution is the end result of a year-long toy collection program and usually takes place the first couple of weeks in December.  This part of the process requires people skills and some minor record-keeping ability.

Time Required

Depends on which part of the program you work on.  It can vary from an hour or two per week to a very intense couple of weeks during distribution.  Call Julie and let her know which area interests you.

Call Volunteer Coordinator Julie at 962-5661 x102 for more information.
