Hands & Feet: Volunteer Opportunities

Pantry Sorter / Sacker

Description

Sorts donated food and places in bins, on racks or shelves, with like items together.  Prepares food orders for clients based on family size and special needs.

Skills

Requires some lifting, stooping and bending, and enough manual dexterity to sort food.  Should be able to read labels enough to sort appropriately and follow simple instructions for filling food orders.

Time Required

Shifts are usually 8 a.m. to noon, Monday - Thursday (though any help is appreciated).  Contact the mission for most-needed days.
