Description

Does client intake.  Discusses needs with clients.  Takes client information and prepares a client history sheet.  Makes sure all necessary paperwork is completed.

Skills

Should be comfortable talking with people and able to listen with a sympathetic ear.  Needs some attention to detail and a reasonably readable writing style.  A small amount of training is required, some of which may include "shadowing" a working counselor during an actual session.

Time Required

Usually three to four hours.  Counselors are needed Mondays through Thursdays from about 8:30 to noon at the main office on 9th Avenue.
